I also applied to GWU and got accepted into their program already. I applied to Marymount as my backup in case I didn't get in anywhere else. I just received my acceptance letter for transfer admissions to GMU on Monday. From what I understand, GMU Nursing probably won't be sending out acceptance/denial letters early this year. Probably going to be more towards end of April.
My first choice is GMU because I went to undergrad and graduate school there. I feel very comfortable and familiar navigating through the school. It is also very close to home which helps with the commute especially since we would have to travel between Fairfax and Manassas. It would give me a little more time to spend at home before and after class with my son.
What about you?
This thread for GMU ABSN Fall 2015 was pretty hard to find, maybe it should be moved to the Virginia nursing forum for more responses? The pre-nursing forum gets pretty inundated so it's hard to filter through all of it.
@mnm1018 I applied to all the same schools you did as well. Congrats on your acceptance to GW so far! Since you went to school at GMU before, I was wondering if you've seen the nursing school facilities (unfortunately they didn't offer a tour during the information sessions). If so, do you know how GMU's lab facilities compare to those offered at Marymount or GW?
I read in a thread for fall 2014 that GMU tends to say that they'll have decisions out later in April, but they could have it delivered as early as the end of March. However, for 2013, people received letters around mid-April. I'm hoping for news around that time because that's when I anticipate hearing from other schools!
@talfan unfortunately, I have not seen GMU's nursing facilities especially since the class's are on both the Fairfax and Prince William campuses. I also have not seen Marymount's facilities to be able to compare them. I liked how GWU's campus is because everything is in one place.
I've read that too, I guess last year GMU was able to get their letters out earlier than normal. I checked with them regarding this year's decision letters and was told that it will probably be near the end of April and even beginning of May.
Which school is your first choice? If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA, HESI score, and background?

I am applying to the Fall 2015 program, I know the program is really competetive so I wanted get an idea of what kinds of grades/ scores of others applying. I currently have an overall GPA of 3.3 and a prereq GPA of 3.6. I haven't taken my Hesi-A2 exam yet, but will be taking it tomorrow. I plan on applying to a few other schools as well. How did everyone score on their Hesi exam?
