gloucester county college 2014

Anyone else looking to get into the gloucester county college 2014 fall nursing program?

I think I'm going to try Monday, Wednesday, for classes, and Friday for clinical. @sdougan I was looking forward to a summer free of school work (I took micro, ap2 and stats this semester. I'm going a little crazy lol) but I guess I won't be let off the hook! I still can't believe I'm going to nursing school. It's something I've dreamed about for years and it's finally happening. Anyone else feel this way? Also, I found this nurse on YouTube who posts really helpful things about nursing school. I thought you guys would enjoy this!

I showed it to my brothers girlfriend who's in her last semester at Widener for nursing and she said everything is 100% true!

@ashlea I feel the same way. I feel like it's been a long process to get here and in so happy I'm finally starting the real journey! Thanks for the link. I have been reading everything nursing related the last few days trying to prepare as much as possible. I have a few friends that are nurses already and they made me a nurses essential kit and they included tums for impending ulcers, ibuprofen, clear eyes for the lack of sleep and spa stuff to relax lol. Got the feeling that this is going to be rough but rewarding 2 years!

Aw that's so nice! Yes it will be tough. I have a few friends who are nurses too, and some who are nurse practitioners. I'm glad because I'm gonna need all the help I can get! :laugh:

Also if you're on Pinterest you should follow mine. I've got lots of great nursing stuff on there.

Is your Pinterest name the same as it is on here? Also watching some of the videos I got the idea that forming a strong study group before hand would be beneficial are you interested?

I was going to try for a monday tuesday wednesday schedule. Do you guys think its good 3 days in a row or would it be too much?

Well the way I see it, you're getting everything out if the way, and have Thurs. Fri. to study, etc. I personally like getting things out of the way. I wish I could do it that way but I have a 20 month old so I am trying to coordinate times I know I'll have a sitter with clinical days.

@sdougan my username is Mothertucker26 ;-)

Yeah I feel the same way, I don't like to procrastinate so would like to get it done.

There is a ton to do! I did my drug test, dropped off the form, went to the doctors for all labs! Luckily my CPR is still good from teaching! Whew! Let the adventure begin :)

Hey. Anyone taking or have taken micro? How is it? Or psych of human devel? Taking both those in the summer same time. Thanks!

I'm taking micro now. It's not hard, just a TON of memorization. I have *******. She's very nice but she's kind of tough.

I am taking Micro right now at Camden CC, micro isn't too bad as long as read the chapters or understand your professors notes/lecture. I find that lab is pretty easy, as long as you follow directions in the lab book you shouldn't have any issues. Human development is not hard, but you have to read everything.
