Hey! I am planning on applying as well. I haven't taken the HESI yet, but I'm planning on taking it soon. I have heard from previous students that getting at least an 85 is something to shoot for, but I think it's relative to the applicant pool. Anyway, good luck, and keep it touch....hopefully we can get a good thread going for the 2012 class....

Hey guys!

I'm also planning on applying for fall 2012. I'm currently taking A & P 1 and am doing well. I've aken the Hesi 2 times and last time I got an 83.3. I'm going to take it two more times just so I can get my chemistry grade up which is really the only section thats giving me issues. What did you guys think of the Hesi? good luck!!

Hey Scarlet...I haven't taken the HESI yet, I hope to soon though. I am really worried about the chem section myself because I am horrible at chemistry. When I take it though, I'll post what I got.

That is correct. The Hesi score is relative to the applicant pool. Good Luck to all!:)

Hey Birdigrl.. yeah the chemistry section has been my issue twice haha. I'm working hard to get it where it needs to be, good luck when you take it! I'm also applying to another program and they require the TEASE V so i'm taking that this weekend.

hey guys! I have to take the hesi again im doing the remediation right now in chemistry and biology because those are my lowest scores .. anybody have any advice on how to boost those two sections? I met with one of the admissions cordinators she was very nice and encouraging so that made me feel a lot better lol ! hopefully we all get acceptance letters this april lol =)!

hey fitness girl, what exactly is the remediation for chemistry and bio? Is it a HESI tutorting course? Well since the last time I took chemistry I've improved by 12 points and I studied a whole bunch of different nursing entrance books along with chapters in my A & P book. I just ordered another book so i'll see how that helps. I did fine on the bio section but I'd still like to raise my score a few points. Good luck!

Hey ScarlettKnight! its a website you go in its www.evolve.com and you click student site and just type in your username and password you used when you registered for the hesi and it tells you how many questions you missed in that particular section and it lists what you need works on.. Im really struggling with chemistry I only have the hesi study guide you can buy in the school store but ive been trying to go on websites and try and figure out how to improve what I didnt do so well on ! im very nervous!

hey fitness girl, oh okay yeah i've been on that! surprisingly i didn't find out about it until the second time i took it because the first time they just printed my scores for me and didn't tell me about it oh well found it now..and thats what i'm doing to prep again. You should check out your local library to see if they have any books to help!

I am applying as well- got a 90% overall on the hesi, but my science grade is a b. I really really don't want to take the hesi again because it is so annoying but I don't know what to do!

yeah the HESI is tough..i wish we could re-take particular sections, not the whole test..that would make our lives much easier haha. i'm going to take it again in december
