Hi,
This thread is for anyone applying to GCC's nursing program for Winter/Spring 2021. Good luck ?

I’m on the same boat. ? How can so many schools say no? Haha
I do have 1 B in physio. COC told me to retake the class at Valley and I’ll have a higher chance, but then Valley told me to not retake it because it can do more harm than good. Don’t know what to do, y’all
I have a B in physio as well. I haven’t ever heard of people saying you should retake with a B. It might help but I know many people that don’t have straight As that have gotten in. From what I can see now is that experience in the field like volunteering or being a CNA gives the biggest leg up over anything else. Which I don’t have.

I also have my bachelors! Do you guys think I should retake physio? Or will it do me more harm than good?
Every school counts points differently so I would run the numbers to see if it makes sense for the program you want to apply to! I didn't have any volunteer or healthcare experience and I had a repeat in English from 10 years ago and I got in to a program but again those points vary depending on the programs. Some schools only give you 2 points for CNA where other schools give 10. For GCC, they do random selection for everyone who meets the minimum requirements, so you can't really make yourself more competitive which sucks. But it's also good because you don't have to have a 4.0 to get in. Pros and cons. Don't give up!
