Glendale community College Spring 202

U.S.A. California

Updated:   Published

Hi guys,

I barely found out about this website, which I found extremely helpful. I am a pre nursing student, recently completed all my pre-reqs. I'm applying in all Los Angeles county colleges, but I'm really scared my GPA is a 3.3 and I haven't yet taken the TEAS IDK if I should wait till I apply? because I know sometimes they invite you to take it bc I need more studying. I got a B in anatomy and physiology and an A in micro. But I have a W on anatomy because I tried taking it in the Summer for like a week and gave up. Worst mistake of my life. Anyway I feel pretty unconfident to be honest, because I know its extremely competitive. I'm applying to Pierce, Glendale, Pasadena, Moorpark, Valley, and college of the canyons. Just thought I made this so we can all share our application experience, current or previous. I'm lacking motivation because of my low GPA and I'm super scared of taking the TEAS and doing bad.

Just apply everywhere, you never know!

I had about a 3.4 GPA, C in Anatomy, A in Physio and Micro, B in Chem, I took teas and got 86.7, applied for GCC and CONAH and got into both. You need TEAS for CONAH but not for GCC. Don't discredit yourself, you will get in eventually!

Hi thank you for your comment. Wow you did really good, congrats. Are you in nursing school now? Which one did u ended up going for? Also was the teas, and how did you study? Did you also got into both the colleges the first time you apply

Hi,

I accepted GCC because it finishes sooner then CONAH. I'm starting 4th semester in the fall.

For the TEAS I studied with the yellow TEAS study book, I think it is called ATI TEAS Secrets, just do as many practice tests as you can, first on their own then timed.

Yes I got into both the first time, I liked CONAHs process because it is based on points so you know where you stand going in. I had 81 points and I think the lowest that got accepted was 79. PCC has a point system as well.

Hey. Saw that you applied to moorpark as well. Did you get a call yet? I checked the website and it said that all admission and alternatives have been offered for spring 2019. And wasn’t sure if it was a typo or the website hasn’t been updated in awhile.

Hi I applied to GCC for winter/spring 2020 and received the email about our chancellor score today. Good luck to those of you taking the TEAS!

Got the same email today!

Hello just curious which program you both applied for? I applied to the LVN-RN bridge and have yet to hear back from them. Anxiously awaiting!

Hi Nina_K13, I applied to the Generic RN program.

Monica818 Thank You, and Good Luck with the TEAS.

Thank you ! Good luck I hope we all get in !

Is Glendale anyone’s first choice program?
