I am applying to citrus too, do you know how they do their selection process?

I haven't gotten a letter yet but I honestly don't think I made the cut. I think I only had around 53 points but I guess you never know. I'll probably get my letter tomorrow.

You never know, so very true...your letter might come on Monday. I only had 61 points, which didn't seem super high either.

Well hopefully I get good news. But like you, I'm really hoping I get into Glendale's program. It's much closer and their pass rates are highter. Also, congratulations on getting an alternate spot, it's nice to know that you still have a chance :-)

Trust me after 6 rejection letters when I get the mail part of me is like I don't even want to open it...lol...and I know what you mean, I am still waiting for GCCs notice as well-I would really love to get in to their program plus not have to take the TEAS again for Citrus. What other schools are you waiting on? Did you apply to Pasadena? Acceptance emails should be going out this week for PCC.

Thank you, I hope you're right. I am currently on the waitlisted at SMC but I won't start anytime soon. I also applied at college of the desert, which is my last resort but they prioritize COd student anyway. I didn't apply at PCC (missed the deadline) but if I can't get in anywhere this fall I'm going to apply for te spring semester.

You will, its just a painstaking process waiting. How long have you been on the waitlist at SMC? I'm supposed to hear tomorrow from them if I'm on the waitlist. Did you take your NLN-PAX exam yet? That's great that your not giving up either. It will happen! I hope you get in at GCC for fall! Sounds like you're ready to start already, I get it.

Lol! I've been ready to start! I got into USD's masters program a few years ago but something happened and I couldn't go, so since then I've been so impatient and eager to start! Haha, I've only been on SMC's waitlisted since October and I haven't taken the NLN-PAX yet. I'm hoping to get in somewhere else before then.

Omg, that bites...you got into USDs masters program before and weren't able to attend. I'm sure applications have increased immensely over the last few years there too. I spoke with one of the Deans at Samuel Merritt because I wanted to start an Entry MSN and she said when they started the program in 2007 or 2008 they were practically begging people to apply (Wish I had known what I wanted when I graduated w/my bachelors degree in 2007!) and now its increasingly harder to get in, but the ABSN program is a little easier. Its still a little too pricey to me for an ABSN and the move to Oakland since that's not my end goal. But I can only imagine having gotten into a masters and how frustrating that must be. You're clearly super bright and have a lot of perseverance to reach your goal, its just lame having to rely on a lottery system to get into an RN program, but you will. I keep telling myself when I get in to make a mental note of these days of waiting, I really feel it makes me appreciate that it is possible to get where you want to be...just takes time and hard work. You'll get in.

I hear ya on trying to avoid the extra testing if possible...that's like Citrus for me. I've already taken my TEAS and now I have to take it again...but I just have to suck it up and do it...unless I get in somewhere else before the end of May. (HOPING!!)

Just got an email that I got accepted into LA Pierce College for fall!! SO excited!!
