hey allnurses.
im starting nursing school this fall and ive heard from different people that its a good idea to buy a nclex book and work the questions that correlates with the chapters im going over in class for extra practice. so my question is which book do you use, and/or prefer. please include the name and edition. and also do you think i need the newest edtion. ive heard saunders and kaplan thats it. and at the end ill take the count for the most, and thats probably the one ill chose. thanks

Suggest you visit a bookstore and look through the various prep books to find the one that suits you. There are several to choose from. Many are successful using the Saunders Comprehensive Review. Good luck with school.

Saunders is a good book! The one I have came along with a CD so you can do practice questions too.

I am currently using Saunders-PN 3rd Edition for reviewing too, which includes a CD. When we were in Nursing School, everyday we have an hour for computer lab as part of theory class. The Saunders program was installed in each computer at school and it was mandatory for us to review and do practice questions on the current topic we were discussing. We started doing the practice questions in level 2 and went on till we were in level 4. It was helpful, although during that time most of us didn't really take it to heart, until we finally graduated.
