Hi,
We are considering a move to Gilbert, AZ. Can anyone tell me about schools, neighborhoods, good/bad areas, home prices, lifestyle................anything would help.
Thanks!!!

Flash floods aren't a big deal.
You know when its raining in AZ and if it is raining in the mountains (upstream) then that water is going to flood the known low spots; washes where roads cross are danger areas...
Just stay out of them...
If you use low spots to get around all you have to do is know the 'rain-alternate' routes.
Like I said: no big deal IMHO.

We have a big park across the street from the house... it is below the street (about 12 feet) and turns into a lake so we don't have to worry about flooding... :)
We have the same thing. You are probably my neighbor! But no, there are a ton of parks all around that are like that, makes it nice!
I would trade in 90% humidity anyday!Days here in Indiana get to be close to 100 but the humidity level is so high in the summer, you sweat sitting on the porch in the shade. So 50% humidity sounds like heaven to me!
Any history of mudslides in that area???

Hehehe, I had to laugh when I put those numbers there. I thought the exact same thing that you wrote since I used to live in St Louis and anything is better than 80-90% humidity. But, with the daily highs being over 100 degrees, even 50% is horrid.
Good luck with the program that you are trying to get into. I have never heard of that program. Do you go to school in the valley or in Tucson?

What areas are more prone to them or are they just random??
