Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey! I'm a current student at GGC and I'm going to apply to the nursing program for the fall. I wanted to see who else is applying and what their stats are. I'm so excited to finally start on this journey. My stats are a 3.36 GPA, 3.0 Science GPA, and a 84 on the TEAs. :)

Did you guys pay an application fee? I couldn't find it anywhere and when I went to talk to the Accounts office they send me a link but it wouldn't work. but I called and they received everything so idk if they reviewed mine lol

No I didn't pay anything. Only thing I paid was the seat deposit but that was after I got accepted

No, no application fee. Good luck!! Fingers crossed for you!!

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get in to GGC, beckyyy but I'm glad to hear that you are going to be heading to Mercer! It's an awesome school!

I'm a current student at GGCs nursing program so if you have any questions feel free to ask me! Your status won't change until a while after you get your acceptance letter

Hi Caitlinw & all. Please can you tell me what housing you have? Campus housing or you rent an apartment and if you do rent what is the average rent over there?

Congrats @Ayaya & @PriPri can only imagine the joy y'all feel now. Any idea on previous cohorts or how competitive the program Is? The ratio of seats available to number of applicants?

I just saw your comment after I sent you a message. I believe there are 32 seats in GGC's program each semester. The program has been very good, the spring 2017 graduating class got a 100% 1st time pass rate on the NCLEX this past fall, and it was only their 2nd year of graduates. It's a really new program, but they seem to have figured it out pretty quickly. GGC offers on campus housing, and there are lots of apartments around campus that are very close, but I haven't looked in to costs, as I have a long term living situation already.

Hey guys, just came across this thread. I got accepted into GGC's program for Fall 2018! Congrats on your acceptance @PriPri and @Ayaya , I look forward to seeing you guys! :)
