GGC Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey! I'm a current student at GGC and I'm going to apply to the nursing program for the fall. I wanted to see who else is applying and what their stats are. I'm so excited to finally start on this journey. My stats are a 3.36 GPA, 3.0 Science GPA, and a 84 on the TEAs. :)

At least I don't think it does. I just keep hoping maybe they'll update my major before sending me an email... Even though I know that is unlikely and really not a good strategy for them lol

I'm a current student at GGCs nursing program so if you have any questions feel free to ask me! Your status won't change until a while after you get your acceptance letter

Hey I have a few questions I hope you don't mind answering:

1. When did you get your acceptance letter?

2. When did you find out your schedule for your first semester?

3. Do you feel as if you have time ? To maybe work or have you time?

4. How much studying do you do in a week?

Thank you

Got my acceptance letter today!

CONGRATS!!!!!

Thank You!!!

I don't mind answering at all!

1. since you got your acceptance letter i don't think this is necessary to answer! Congrats on getting in. It is a great honor to be accepted to this program.

2. You can look up your schedule online. The advisors will sign you up for classes once everyone accepts their spot and the deadline ends. You will be taking Wellness and Illness 1 (this includes clinicals), Health Assessment, Professional Nursing and Nursing Research

3. I have some time, but I feel like anytime used to do something else other than studying is wasted time. I used to work full time before the program but now I only work twice a month. It is doable. I have a handful of classmates who work and go to school fulltime- they are amazing!

4. I am studying now. I cant put an hour limit on it because I study before class, during class, and after class. It is an ongoing thing like breathing honestly. If I'm not studying, I am eating or sleeping. It is something that is really hard at first but easily becomes second nature!

If you have anymore questions please let me know! You can private message me for further information! I had a lot of questions when I got my acceptance letter too! Congrats again!

The last question I had was what is your weekly schedule?

I sent you a PM (I'm not sure if you can message back) but you will have class everyday at 8am. If it's like mine was, you will have wellness and illness 1 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, health assessment on Wednesday, professional nursing on thursday at 1pm, and nursing research on Friday. When the semester progresses you will have clinicals on Monday or Tuesday and skills lab the other day.

I got in!!! Got my email yesterday but hadn't checked until just now!!

OMG GOOD JOB!!!!!! I haven't received anything yet :) Good luck y'all!

Did you guys pay an application fee? I couldn't find it anywhere and when I went to talk to the Accounts office they send me a link but it wouldn't work. but I called and they received everything so idk if they reviewed mine lol
