Getting a Dialysis job

Published

Specializes in NICU, Peds..

I have been trying to get into Dialysis nursing, my experience has been NICU, Nursery.

Has anyone heard about Dialysis4career.com? They have an online course.

Has anyone taken this class, and were you able to find a job in Dialysis?

Thanks for any input and advice!

Honestly dialysis centers around here are begging for people. Have you tried applying with the big companies?

Heck come over here, you can have my job!! ;)

Specializes in Specializes in L/D, newborn, GYN, LTC, Dialysis.

I got mine by word of mouth. A person I knew who was a tech gave me the name of the manager and to whom I should give my application and resume. I would check the sites of the "big two" (Davita and Fresenius) and see where job openings are posted and go through the online process of application. Good luck!

Specializes in diabetic education, dialysis.

Agreed.....I don't know a single person who has taken that "schooling". The major companies will train you and they will teach their policy and procedure whereas you might've caught some different information somewhere else and you'll end up frustrated and confused.

Specializes in ER.

I applied over the weekend and I received a call to schedule an interview. I am a new grad with less than six months of education. I would google dialysis centers in your area and then apply to the big companies.
