I applied to EC back in September. I have been trying to get some answers to questions I have for them but I continuously get the response of "once you pay your enrollment fee our advisors can answer any questions you may have". Why do I have to give them over a $1000 of my money for them to answer any questions I have about their program. This is becoming quite frustrating and really making me want to consider another program.
Its the same way at most colleges. They won't review your transcript until you apply. You haven't applied yet. Take the class. They do accept credits from them. You're better off taking it now before you apply. A couple of my co-workers and I are in the program. It works out for those who don't have the time and money to do a traditional program. Rethink and review and step away and come back to it.
I don't know your complete situation but I highly recommend enrolling. I am a medic and enrolled back in September. In 8 weeks I will have all of my general credits knocked and will start on my nursing portion. It was faster then I imagined. Whether you do the classes or just take the uexcel tests, this is the real deal!
I'm still waiting to feel ripped off by Excelsior. So far I've had nothing but good experiences with the school. Excelsior accepts transfer credit from Regionally accredited schools in addition to CLEP, and ACE approved courses with some restrictions on A&P, math, and microbiology.
As far as the payment plans you pay 1/2 of the cost upfront and the rest is split into 2-6 payments depending on what you re paying for.

Well don't hold your breath because not all of us feel ripped off. Usually the ones that feel ripped off are bitter because they didn't do adequate research before enrolling in the program, which is not something that one can fault EC for. All the details about the program are laid out for those of us who cared to read them prior to enrolling.

Yeah, I feel so ripped off getting my RN license in a way that allowed me to do it at my own pace and set my schedule and still have a life....
