Hi I am currently trying to get into the BSN program at UFV and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what it takes for grades and volunteer experience to get in. I have heard how competitive it is and that you almost have to have straight As!
I was also wondering if anyone had any advice on the interview!:) I am very nervous but excited at the same time.
30 bucks...thats great! Yes Im scared for all the exams:0 I really suck at them...
I went into UFV yesterday and dropped off two ref letters from the pharmacies I worked at and one from Worthington where I volunteered. I checked to see if they had my upgraded mark for English (which was in 3 weeks ago) and it wasn't upgraded yet on my file:0 She made a note so hope that is in..cut off is Monday:s I missed an A by 1 percent...ughhh!! To bad they don't look at percentages not just the letter grade!
Psychiatrics Is one place that actually interested me...after working in the hospital and dealing with the Psych patients even in my work...I'm not sure now..it would take a special person I think.... Maternity has always been top of my list..I think everyone goes in thinking that though..we will see!!
I have been out of school for one year now...if I don't get in for Jan..I'm sure hoping by next September!

haha yeah that was me :) I ended up getting it from someone for like 30 bucks. :) Yes we are so close to being done :) I cannot wait
Psychiatric/Mental health is not my thing. I Enjoyed semester 4 though (Surgical), was by far my favorite.
Once you finish 2nd year you can apply to Fraser Health to be an ESN (Employed student nurse) and get PAID to work, so i work on an acute medical floor now :) You have so much to look forward to. And yes the exams are ridiculous, but honestly... the whole experience, whether good or bad, its totally worth it in the end. I came into the program almost right after highschool... but school is kinda my thing. I am sure ill go back as soon as i graduate :) heehee
