  1. No I did not have to reapply the told me to just wait for the next intake and I got a call to do the interview again so I went to that and then a month later received the letter that told me I was accepted. I was originally doing my degree in Biology but nothing from that degree really transferred because nursing is mostly nursing specific classes but I think the post secondary experience does help!
  2. wow good luck! im sure you will do great. The interview really isnt anything to worry about. They mostly as you questions on how you will afford it. What sources of support you have. They also give you a scenario and ask you to tell them what order you would approach all of the things you need to do in a stressful situation. They ask what stresses you out as well. Pretty general answers where you dont have to think too much just say how you feel and they are very nice about it so you feel very comfortable :) I first applied for last january and was not accepted but they kept me on the wait list so I start this september. I have also heard its a great school for nursing so I am very excited to start. Again, good luck to you though! If you have any other questions feel free to ask...
  3. my interview went really well. It was my second time applying though. Did you also apply for sept before the jan 2012? because the first time i applied was last jan and i was not accepted however i did not change anything and was accepted with the same amount of volunteer hours/ gpa that i had originally applied with...
  4. where are you applying to?
  5. congratulations I got in as well! see you in september :)
  6. i got mine today! hopefully yours came!
  7. have you gotten your letter yet?
  8. My interview went really well but its hard to say because it did last time as well and the lady even told me that she couldn't say for sure but she saw no reason for me to not get accepted right away and that I should start looking for a pregnant woman to follow... and even after that I got the letter saying I was not accepted so its really hard to say. The interview process is not bad at all though they do make you feel very comfortable and ask pretty basic questions.
  9. I am from Chilliwack BC and that is where my BSN program is as well at the university of the fraser valley chilliwack campus
  10. wow that is a lot of volunteer hours. I only have 50 and just finished my interview an hour ago. I also applied with 50 hours last jan and had the interview too though but was not accepted. The courses that they look at are chem 11 math 11 bio 12 and eng 12 and my gpa is about a 3.3... Good luck to you though! When is your interview?!
  11. Hi I am currently trying to get into the BSN program at UFV and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what it takes for grades and volunteer experience to get in. I have heard how competitive it is and that you almost have to have straight As! I was also wondering if anyone had any advice on the interview!:) I am very nervous but excited at the same time.
  12. Hi there, I am currently applying for the fall 2011 class at UFV and have my interview tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on the gpa and volunteer hours needed for acceptance. This is my second attempt at trying to get in as I was not accepted with a 3.3 gpa and 50 hrs volunteer I was told the average for last winters gpa was around 3.8! I was also wondering if anyone had any advice on the the interview?:) I am very nervous and am really hoping to be accepted for this fall.
