Get a job with a Associates

Published

As a new graduate nurse with an associates degree please advice on where to get a job in a hospital ?

You could try Mount Sinai and Jamaica hospital and I also heard hospitals in NJ hire ADNs. The best bet is to be enrolled in a BSN program. A lot of hospitals are trying to acquire magnet status. I heard it's hard to obtain a hospital job but it's definitely not impossible. If you end up having any luck please let me know. I will graduate next year with an Associates as well. Good luck!

I have a prior bachelor's degree in Psychology, plan on getting my ACLS, will have 5+ years of healthcare experience as a CNA by the time I graduate, and will be graduating with my ADN in May 2018. Are my chances improved with have a prior bachelor's is a related field or is it about the same? really nervous about trying to find a job and moving back to the city!

I have seen some new grads get hire with adn + BS but maybe like 1 in 40 much more difficult.
