GE's out of the way or are they de-stressor classes?

Published

i need advice from nursing students or nurses. should i:

spread classes out and take 2 years to do pre-reqs and get GE's out of the way

OR

finish pre-reqs in one year and do GE's in the summer/during nursing school?

basically, is it better if i dont have to worry about GE's during nursing school or are GE's really the de-stressor classes?

if you were me, would you rather wait 5 years to graduate OR just 4 years PLUS summer classes?

thanks a bunch!!

thanks everyone! i'll just do GE's before nursing school. i figured i might as well have one or two relaxing years before i completely go crazy in nursing school! GE might be destressor classes but i think i'd really need to focus on nursing :)

good choice. people in my class that had to take classes for graduation envied everyone that finished everything prior to nursing school b/c we got our summers off and they had to continue taking classes.

Get the GEs out of the way!!!!!! For me, it ****** me off to have to worry about a stupid assignment for a simple class when I had a Med-Surg test the next day worth 30% of my final grade. When I took easy classes mixed with difficult classes, I usually made better grades in the hard classes because I spent more time on the hard stuff and BSed a lot of the simple crap the night before. IMO you should take the summer off to relax and have fun with your friends. What a difference a break will make! Besides you have the whole rest of your life to work!:D
