In the US nurses are generalist trained with clinical and theory on adult med/surg, maternity/obstetrics, psych/mental health, geriatrics and pediatrics. All areas are covered on the NCLEX. The NCLEX is but one step in the process. You must apply for a nursing license by examination as an internationally educated nurse. I believe VA BoN requires a CES (credentials evaluation service) report from CGFNS. If demonstration of English Language proficiency is required then you must pass the test (most often IELTS or TOEFL) required by the BoN.
Do you have a valid US SSN and work rights?
thanks so much for hour reply justbeachynurse
not yet but i guess in one Month will get my Visa Work , i thoight i make my self productiv with studying , ah ok , will contact CGFNS today and let s see .

HI! Welcome!!!!
I moved your thread to nurse registration for the best response. Like Beachy said....nursing programs on the US are generalist educations. Each Board of nursing in each state has it's own requirements (ridiculous I know) Here is the link for the application process keep in mind the state of Washington DC requires a social security number to apply.....http://doh.dc.gov/sites/default/files/dc/sites/doh/publication/attachments/LPN%20RN%20EXAMINATION%20INSTRUCTIONS%202015.pdf
Heavens I'm sorry I see you said Virginia.....Virginia Board of Nursing Forms and Applications
thanks so much Esme12, i apprecie this , i got the Answer from virginia board of nursing , they said i have to submit a Evidence from CGFNS and have a English Test and during 90 days i shall take and pass the licensing examination . Wow im super excited ..
I'm excited for you!!!!
