Job Offer Washington State

  1. I had an interview for a PRN position at a LTC/ Rehab facility in a smallish town in Washington state. The interview went well and they offered me the job. I'm new to this state, from the midwest. I have 6 months experience as an RN and several as an LPN. Does around $25/hr seem appropriate for the area/ my experience / the setting? I was getting $22.50/hr in the midwest full-time. Cost of living was a lot less there.

25/26 per hour is typical pay for an RN in LTC.

Really? I didn't know about no income tax in WA. Wow!
    Thanks for the info.
No income tax, plus the fact that my new facility seems so friendly and supportive, sure makes me excited.

For an RN, I wouldn't work in a SNF for less than $27-28/hr as a newbie. As an LPN, I made $21/hr just starting in an ALF and knew LPN's making $24/hr in SNF's.
