Help me with common LTC medications

I am a new grad lpn about to take a jobin a sub acute ltc facitlity, i just wanted input on common medications iwill encounter on a daily basis , or even less frequently, i would like to start looking them up, so i wouldnt look like dummy if i dont know mostof them.

i do plan t have a drug bookhandy but since i have free time, i would like to learn most

actonel, protonix, dilitizem, sinemet,HCTZ (hydrochlorthiazide?sp), furosemide, morphine sulfate, levothyroxine, digoxin, calcium w/vit D,darvocet, vicodin, acetaminophen, warfarin, lovenox, percocet, duragesic patches, metamucil, glucophage, ferrous sulfate, isosorbide dinitrate. These are some of the common ones where I work. There are lots more, just can't think of them right now.

Here are some more: benadryl, nicotine patch, nigtroglycerine (NTG) patch,

lithium, cogentin, haldol, zyprexa, xanax, risperdal, ativan, seroquel, colace/

surfak/docusate sodium, senna-s, neurontin, glyburide, citrucel.

Avandia, Roxanol liq, Atropine eye gtts for s.l. use,

Glycolax powder, Lantus insulin are some of the meds I give frequently in our Medicare unit.

I would look up by category to start with, lots of BP meds, glaucoma meds

diabetic meds, cardiac meds, bowel meds,

Milk of Magnesia, citrate of magnesia, bisacodyl suppositories, glucagon, albuterol sulfate, ipatropium
