Georgia State University Traditional Spring 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey guys! I haven't seen anything posted for GSU's Spring 2020 BSN cohort yet and I wanted to start one! I'm about to take the TEAS for a second time to hopefully raise my score, the first time I took it I only had A&P 1 done. Here are my stats:

TEAS: 82

Science GPA: 3.75

Overall GPA: 3.81

Institutional GPA: 3.71

I'm a bit weary about getting in but hopefully I'll raise my TEAS score a good bit since I have all of A&P done now. Let me know what your stats are!

I recieved a letter that was sent out November 27th. I am waitlisted. Good luck to the rest of y'all.

Does anyone know how many people are typically waitlisted? Am I the only one who recieved a letter?

I got waitlisted last semester. And I knew quite a few who got called off waitlist. I think they waitlist 15-20 people for traditional.

I was waitlisted for ACE and traditional. Is the wait long?

If you have classes you can retake to boost your grade. Anything that is a B or C and you know you can make an A? Sign up to take those classes. You can always drop them if you get in.

They can call you any time upto the Thursday before classes start. So there is hope. I know people who got called 2 weeks before last semester. I didn't get in last semester, but I reapplied after getting a little more volunteer time and improving my GPA.

I didn't go back and get more letters of recommendation or anything else. And when I reapplied, I applied only to ACE.

But hang on, because like I said they called about 1/3 of the waitlist last semester.

Has anyone heard anything or been waitlisted?

I still haven't heard anything...

I had an interesting conversation with someone who thinks they are waiting to fill the final 20% of the seats after grades come in.

But what if you aren't a GSU student currently? And are you hearing it from students or from faculty?

We were talking as students, but it was someone in the program already. Similar situation when she got in.

For those of you that have been accepted already, has anyone been able to register for their classes yet?!
