Georgia State University Traditional Spring 2020

Updated:   Published

Hey guys! I haven't seen anything posted for GSU's Spring 2020 BSN cohort yet and I wanted to start one! I'm about to take the TEAS for a second time to hopefully raise my score, the first time I took it I only had A&P 1 done. Here are my stats:

TEAS: 82

Science GPA: 3.75

Overall GPA: 3.81

Institutional GPA: 3.71

I'm a bit weary about getting in but hopefully I'll raise my TEAS score a good bit since I have all of A&P done now. Let me know what your stats are!

I created a group me for the GSU Spring 2020 acceptances. please join i would love to get to know you all ?

Hey y'all,

I've been stalking the internet looking for anyone that's gotten in the ACE program. It looks like there's only a thread about the traditional program, but since I heard back, I can hopefully give you some info!

I received an email on Friday. I got into the ACE program (I did not apply to the traditional). I had 280 volunteer hours.

TEAS 89.

Science GPA 4.0

Overall GPA 3.81

GSU GPA 4.0

If you did get into the ACE program, please message me! I'd love to get an FB group going. Good luck to everyone. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

If you want to talk with other members of the ACE track we are in a group me. It won't let me post a link here... you can email me at ahardin6@ student.gsu.edu and I'll send you the link.

I just got my ACE email too??? They really are sending out a bunch right now. I hope everyone waiting gets an answer soon. I wasn't expecting to get into ACE so I'm a little shocked. I'm scared to ask and their offices are closed, but does anyone know if you can turn down ACE for a traditional spot?

I just got my acceptance into the traditional track!!! I am freaking out! I hope you guys have good news too!!!!!

Congratulations to all who have been accepted. I'm beginning to get anxious. Anyone else still waiting?

Hey y’all! I got my Ace acceptance via email today at 12:10. Since November 6, I’ve been checking my email multiple times per day. However, today I just checked it for the first time due to me getting my Thanksgiving cooking underway. I know what I’m thankful for! Congrats to everyone who got in and good luck to those who are still awaiting their decision.

Has anyone else heard about traditional? I'm still waiting...

They usually meet on Thursdays and release letters on Fridays.

I'm still waiting. ?

In addition to what Motherof5Hardins said, they generally focus on most of the ACE acceptances first because a lot of paperwork (physicals, insurance, shots, drug tests, background checks ... ) needs to be done before the start of the semester for clinicals which start in the first semester vs traditional which wont need it until second semester.

Therefore, dont get discouraged. Have faith and keep moving forward.

At this point, with traditional decisions taking forever to come out, I feel like they're waiting for final grades to post...We've past the 6-8 week timeline...
