Hi everyone!
The deadline for the ACE application for Spring 2018 at Georgia State University was yesterday and so now the wait begins! Who else applied?
My stats are:
Undergrad GPA: 3.7
Pre-requisite and Science GPA: 4.0
TEAS score: 91.3
Good luck to everyone and hopefully we'll all be meeting in January!
I just called and the lady who answered the phone said you should receive a decision letter in the mail in the next few days. If you don't receive anything in the mail in the a few days then to give them a call. I confirmed with her that it would be coming via mail and not email - she said yes.
This is getting ridiculous. After I read this I called to see what had changed since yesterday when I spoke with them and they just told me it should come via email. I'm not even sure if they know.
Hey everyone,
I spoke with someone at the school of nursing in person today (didn't get their name). He said they were STILL in the process of reviewing all applicants and couldn't guarantee to have decisions out by Friday, even though that is the end of the 4-6 weeks after application deadline period. I asked about the mail vs. email thing and he said that only denied applicants will be given a letter in the mail and no email. Accepted students will receive an email first and then a letter in the mail with documentation to send back. He also said that there is no particular order to who gets acceptance letters first ie- all ACE students will not hear before all traditional students or vice versa- it's just random.
If still none of us hear anything by Friday, I say we all show up in person and demand an answer lol. I've got a domino effect of things to do bearing acceptance and the more time we have, the better. There's no reason it should be taking this long and it's really frustrating, to put it nicely.
Yeah, me too. I've looked at threads on this site from previous spring semester application cycles and it seems like past decisions were always made before now. I'd be floored if at least some people didn't start hearing news this week. I think we should all keep calling, emailing and visiting the office in person if possible (9th floor of Urban Life building) and start putting more pressure on them to give us some news.

I KNOW, right? @Hildegaard. I don't know what's going on, or why they would get rid of email, or why they would send out some notifications via email and others via snail mail. I'm so sad about the snail mail though. What if someone's gets lost??? Ugh.
