I mailed my Fall 2011 GSU nursing application on Jan. 22. The application deadline is March 1st. As we wait, I invite all applicants, traditional or ACE, to post their program gpa and TEAS version V scores and keep others abreast when they receive an applicaton response. Here are mine:
Program GPA: 3.63
TEAS V: 86.0 (Date 1/15/2011)
Percentile Rank - National: 97
Percentile Rank - Program: 94
As we wait,....
@emmie856: I can't imagine that our gpa would start over. I would think that the grades that we earn in ns would continue to contribute to not only our program gpa, but also our overall gpa. But, I've never done this before, so I could be wrong...?
@tuahla: It's on the website under the "Current Students" tab...the summer list is currently posted, but the spring list was up previously, which should provide a very good idea of what we're looking at this fall. Let me tell you--it's A LOT!!! I'm not planning to purchase any books until they publish the fall list, though. It would just my luck to spend a mint on books and then this be the year that they decide to do a big overhaul. But, if the new list isn't up by the end of July, I might email to see if I can get confirmation of the patho and pharm books. My plan is to start reading at the beginning of August, in hopes of taking just a tiny bit of pressure off thost first few weeks. We'll see how that goes.
If you want me to email the spring book list to you, just message me your email address.
Hey guys!!! I hope everything is going well...I'm busy busy busy....but here are the books for pharmacology and the chapters that the previous Spring class was assigned to read. I bolded the books that the majority of students used frequently. Also, a book that is not on the list is the Pharmacology Reviews and Rationals that you can get on Amazon (I made a previous post about this book). I'll post the other classes later on, but this is one of the more time consuming classes. Just keep in mind that they may or may not have updated the books...sooo use your own judgement when purchasing books and get the official list from ULearn.

@ Mirashu: I don't have enough posts yet to private message. Could you send the ACE info to [email protected]. Thank you for all the posts. They have been incredibly helpful.
Hey mirashu!
Do you think you could send me information for ACE program too? My email is [email protected]
Thanks so much and good luck with your classes!!
Hi Mirashu,
I was looking at this post and a previous one...I just wanted to make sure of something...is it okay if I choose to take biology versus the chemistry sequence? Chemistry really bores me; I would really like to take biology instead, but I want to make sure that it does not affect my chances of getting into nursing school. Since the application has a portion where you say what classes you need to take (what's left over before nursing school), I was worried that it will not be good if I put biology. I would really appreciate your help on this.
Thanks

I'm sorry if this has been answered previously, but the thread is so long now! Does anyone know if our GPA will start over when we begin the program?
Thanks! :)
