Georgia state perimeter college (gpc) spring 2017

Published

Hi, anyone here applied to Georgia state perimeter college (former gpc) for the spring 2017 semester?

I think I just sent you a request! My name Madison hunt!

I just sent a request to the group

I sent a request also.

I was accepted for Spring 2017! I always imagined it being the happiest day of my life. Truth be told, I'm conflicted: to pursue the ASN track or wait one more semester and apply for the BSN track in Jan. I'm hoping I'll have more clarity in the next couple days.

On a side note, does anyone know the approximate cost of books, nursing fees, equipment, etc needed each semesters beyond the typical tuition and fees?

Also, would the program be scheduled as follows:

Spring 2017, Summer 2017, Fall 2017 and finally Spring 2018?

Hello everyone! My name is Kermela. I received my letter today as well and I am super excited and nervous all at the same time. I sent a request to the facebook group. I would love to connect with my future classmates!

I believe it is a 2 yr program... according to the student handbook, Summer classes are only available for those who are in the LPN-RN program (but may be available if a spot is open)...so it would be spring 2017, fall 2017, spring 2018, fall 2018

Clinicals are 8 hrs? Did you have class everyday? If so what times? (Roughly)What about background checks? How much are they? Your help is so appreciated!

First off I wanna say CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Now to the good stuff:

1. The first two semesters, clinical is 8 hrs. The third semester clinical is 10 hrs for OB, 4 hrs for Psych and 12 hrs for PEDS. However, this may change due to you guys having a smaller class size

2. We have class once a week from 9-3, but in the beginning they like to front load information so you're likely to go on two consecutive days the first week.

3. Background checks are $80 I believe, they send out detailed information about that and everything else

4. Someone asked about having class in the summer. They used to offer summer classes if you completed all your prerequisites and made a B in all your classes so far, but since our class was so big they didn't offer that to us. They may offer it to you guys, but I'm not sure.

Congrats to everyone!! I was also accepted for Spring 2017. Has anyone received any additional information in their e-mail yet?

Congrats on your acceptance to the program everyone! I am currently in my first semester, so I'm just one semester ahead of you all.

To your question about tuition & books, aside from tuition and university/college fees, I would set aside another $500-$700 for additional things that are required. They may change some things for you all, but it's better to be safe than sorry!

Having a Facebook group for your class is going to be a great tool for you all to help each other out & encourage one another... there will be much encouragement needed!

Any other questions, just let me know!

What could I go ahead and start working on or reviewing?
