Georgia State Perimeter College Fall 2019

Published

Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Perimeter for the fall 2019 program.

I take my TEAS this afternoon and will be sending in my application after that. Good luck to everyone trying to get in!

Sorry i'm responding a little late. I just found a thread! At the Atlanta campus if you get an A+ in a class, it's weighted as 4.3. I didn't know that wasn't a thing elsewhere. Do you guys know if recommendations had to be one professional and one academic or could they both be academic?

Oh neat, I've never seen that before. I have no idea about the recommendations. You might have some luck doing searches for prior application cycles for GSU on this page. I've gotten a lot of info on Perimeter's application process that way.

I went to an info session yesterday for the program. Apparently they will be changing some of the application process in future semesters, which could be relevant if we don't get accepted this year. For Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 we can still use the old prereqs, but after that it'll change. No more research, phys ed, or public speaking, and add on English 1102 and psych human development. And they're slightly raising the minimum GPA requirements, I think to 2.8 gen ed and 3.0 biology. That part shouldn't matter too much since you've needed much higher grades to get into the program anyway. Hopefully they'll put the prereq info on the website soon. I know I would be upset if I spent time and money on prereqs only to find out that some of the classes weren't needed anymore!

Thanks for sharing this! I just applied to GPC for "pre-nursing"...are these information sessions in-person or online? Also, of the five campuses, which one has the best nursing instructors? I have a strong feeling that one or two are likely better than the others...would like to know before its too late!

There is one online version, but the rest are on campus. The GPC nursing website has a list of nursing sessions and which campus they are at. And you can do your prereqs anywhere, but the nursing program itself is only at the Clarkston campus, with one simulation lab at the Dunwoody campus. You can't choose where to take those classes at ?

Hey Ladies, I applied for the Fall Semester of 2019 also,

I didn't do as well as I thought I would do on the teas as I scored a 70 % exact but met the minimum requirements, hopefully my Current GPA and Science GPA by the grace of God help me get in.

Stats= 3.72 Overall GPA

3.8 General Ed GPA

3.45 Science GPA

70.5% on the TEAS

Good Luck to you all, you ladies have amazing stats, fingers crossed that god bless all with their acceptance letter and road to nursing school .

Hi! I applied back in January. I am so anxious for an update after getting the minimum requirements letter.

My stats

4.0 GPA (Overall & Science)

83% TEAS

Hi there! Ms Creel said the deadline to get the letters out to us would be April 30 but they hoped to have them out sooner. Is that what you guys of heard?

That sounds right, and given previous years posts on here that's true. Usually they seem to come toward the beginning of April though.

Fingers crossed, we all get an acceptance letter next week or the beginning of April, this is the longest denial/acceptance wait ever, since registrations for the Fall semester opens up on April 2nd, hopefully we will know by then ?

Hello everyone, I have been stressed about getting accepted into this nursing program all semester. The deadline is getting closer and I am just ready to finally know where I stand. I just read through the forum for spring 2019 and it made me even more nervous about my results. Good luck to you all.

My stats:

Science 4.0

Overall 3.82

TEAS 78

Same! I just want my decision now

Hopefully soon! I'm sure I'm not the only one hurrying to check my mailbox every afternoon.
