Georgia State Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Hi! I'm applying to Georgia State University's ACE Track for Spring 2016. Anyone else out there also applying? :)

@annerstine that's actually why I came on here to see if anyone has an answer to your question. Just checked my mailbox and found mine about few minutes ago. I think the health documentation requirements will be a report indicating that we have the necessary or updated vaccinations required by most schools.

I may however, send a message to Ms Wanda Little for more information.

Good luck on your acceptance.

Currently hoping that they accept my study buddy, holding hopes on her behalf [emoji120].

Oh well, it's right here in the packet. Check the Program Orientation invitation or sheet, #5 on the list indicates where we will find the health documentation packet (it will be on the quiz following the PINS review). Hope this helps?

Thanks.

Hey guys! I did the PINS today and it's really easy. It asks basic questions and you get unlimited attempts to make a 100. On the PINS it has all the info about what health records you need and what you have to submit to the BFLSON, I'm assuming we send it to Wanda Little.

Ah ok! I see now. That makes more sense. Thanks @Endowed and @jael1.

Thanks guys! I got my packet last night and agree, it was a little odd. Wanda Little told me today that the PINS would be open for me to take by the end of the day. Where is everyone getting their CPR certification? I can't attend the class at GSU this weekend because I work during that time so I'm kind of lost as to where to go. Any suggestions?

I am CPR certified from a couple of years ago- I need to see whether mine is still valid. Probably not.... If it isn't, I haven't figured out where to take it yet either, and also wouldn't be able to attend this weekend. Looking for suggestions too!

Hi friends!

I was accepted to the ACE Program! I got my e-mail November 4 and then got my packet today (11/13).

I was a little confused on everything...

I am not a current GSU student- I just applied for this program. I got was trying to do the PINS Review- does Wanda need to first receive my Acceptance Form?

I need to take the GA History/US History test thing... where do I sign up for that?

What do I need to do on the GSU front? I have been getting FAFSA emails as well as orientation forms... as a nursing student do we need to do that?

We need to get CPR certified before the program? I guess I read that GSU is hosting one?

Thank you!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I'm able to answer a few of your questions. You have to submit the acceptance form first before you can do the PINS review. As for the FAFSA, I'm assuming you've already finished one for the 2015-2016 academic year. You'll just have to log into the FAFSA website and add Georgia State to your school list so that your financial aid will be sent to the school for the spring semester. The CPR certification has to be done prior to December 14th in order to keep your spot open, all of this information is in the PINS review. So just turn your acceptance letter in as soon as you can. Hope this helps.

@ Hildog & annerstine: one of my friends in the nursing program said she got her CPR card from Emory for $35, which is cheaper than getting it at GSU. I haven't called yet but I plan on calling them this week to get more info about it.

Hey guys! I just received an email saying that I have been put on the waiting list for the traditional program. Still keeping my fingers crossed! Congrats to those who have been accepted thus far! :)

Hi everyone. I've been keeping up with this thread and finally decided to join. I've been accepted to the traditional program :D now I'm just trying to figure out how to do the pins review and getting all the other documents that are required. I'm going to contact Mrs. Wanda Little for help but if anyone else can help i'd appreciate it ☺️ (I'm a transfer student and not too familiar with using the gsu desire2learn brightspace thing)

Does anybody know how many people are on the waiting list? Or if they are allowed to tell you what number you are on the waiting list?
