Hi,
Can someone please clarify for me if the nursing program with Georgia Perimeter College demands that you attend 2 campuses to complete the program? I have been told that coures are offered at both the Clarkston and Dunwoody campus and that you have to attend both in order to graduate? Doesn't the Clarkston campus offer everything you need to graduate? It would be hard to go between both of them due to the distance and traffic. I want to live close to the campus where I will attend and it would be hard to do that if I have to go to both campuses. Thanks!
Thanks, I've seen some students from GPC come to the hospital I work at and I talk to a few of the nurses so that won't be bad if I can get assigned there. So clinicals are 4 days a week? How many hrs is it?
Clinicals are not 4 days a week. I don't want you to get over whelmed. Clinicals are 2 days a week.
That is so confusing because it looks like they do not have nursing at Dunwoody. So they do have actual nursing classes at Dunwoody? Is there an online catalog? I really want to know what this is all about before getting in and finding out it is not what I thought. HOw hard is it to get into the nursing program? Is there a waiting list?

Yes I know it is confusing rockytop 743! As of now the only Nursing classes at Dunwoody are LPN/Bridge in the summer and 3rd semester which is PEDS, Psych, and OB which they register you for you will not see them on line maybe a description of them in the catalog but not in the Dunwoody class list. I am a 3rd semester student and started at Clarkston (my choice) for the first year then for the 3rd semester they implemented a "new and improved program" and had to move students around based on their addresses and I ended up at Dunwoody (some stayed at Clarkston and some at Lawrenceville) just for this semester. The 4th and final (PTL) we will all be together at Clarkston again. I think the new program is working out so far the new Program Director is AWESOME. It grew (the program) and with growth comes growing pains and I want to be a NURSE and therefore I would drive wherever I needed to finish the program:redbeathe
Have you taken your pre-reqs? The NET? Look at www.gpc.edu and go to the nursing page and get the admission procedures, go to an info session-they are so helpful-I don't know how far along you are in your school. No waiting list ever don't listen to rumors. Follow the format and read the FAQ's on the site. I think it is a great school. Good luck.
Thanks you all for the information. I am currently enrolled in an PN program right now and I have a little more time before I am finished but this is the school I was planning to attend because it is the only LPN-RN bridge program that is convenient to me. Hopefully everything will be worked out but then but at least I know what I might be potentially up against.
