Thank you I just applied to every Grady job available every Kaiser Job and I think I applied to a Signature Healthcare job but I have applied to so many that I honestly can't remember but I am going to check into it anyway and reapply if necessary. I'm hoping someone calls me soon.

Hello all I was wondering if anyone in the Georgia area knew of any jobs that are currently hiring new graduates. I graduated in September 2009 took boards in November 2009 and have been a LPN every since. I am not picky as to where I work right now I just want to get my foot in the door and actually become a contributing member to society. Sincerly, Crystal I need a job ASAP

My point exactly. I am not going to give up and I am still applying everywhere under the sun I want to work scratch that I need to work. So any assistance that can be offered is still wanted.

I am applying everywhere I'm not picky as a new graduate I need experience more than anything and eventually I can move up.

Hello all, my name is Crystal and I successfully finished my practical nursing program in September of this year, I took boards in November and just recently found out I passed. So with that said I'm a newly licensed LPN in the state of Georgia and I have been job searching nonstop since even before I passed boards. The problem is every place I apply regardless sends me the customary response of basically Thank you for applying but you need more experience. How do you get experience without someone hiring you to let you get experience. I have applied everywhere I am not picky about where I work right now because I know I am new and just looking for a way to get in the door I will worry about moving up later. Not working is no longer an option for me I am starting to feel like going to school was a waste of time. I do have plans of going on for my RN but I need to work in the mean time. Okay so I went through the practical nursing program, studied hours on end for boards took said boards on November 6th @ 1:30pm found out I passed November 8th. The thrill of actually passing boards still hasn't worn off but I am finding myself wondering what now. I have been job searching nonstop and all jobs I see posted and the few hospitals, clincals, agencies, etc I call all say the same thing either they are not hiring or they need more experience (non-clinical wise). Well I ask how do I get experience without a job? All throughout clinicals and class we have been working towards passing the classes and then passing boards but not once have we gone over how to actually go about getting said nursing job in today's job market. Its only been a couple days so I am no where near giving up I just want any advice as to the job searching process when I have no experience besides clinicals and technically no license yet -- I passed but I haven't received my license and it isn't on the Georgia Board of nursing site yet. I just took boards on the 6th of this month stopped at 85 questions and did the trick later that evening when I got home. I got the pop up box. I checked again on Sunday night and paid for the option to get my quick results and guess what? I passed so I do believe this "trick" which isn't a trick works.

OMG the trick worked for me I just found out I PASSED I am so excited.

Thank you Flekkzz. I woke this morning in a complete daze if I hadn't posted here and still have several index cards around my room stating the date and time of my NCLEX exam I wouldn't believe I took it at all. I did the trick once again and got the same pop as yesterday so I'm still hopeful. My test was all SATA and regarding planning questions, I had no questions about labs,only 2 drugs they would be ones I have never heard of, a few Diabetes questions and no calculation problems. It's crazy because the areas I am really strong in I had not a question from and the areas I suck at were my whole test. It's like the NCLEX people talked to my school and they told them what areas of testing I have issues with and that is what I was tested on.

I just took the NCLEX PN this afternoon and my test stopped at 85 questions I felt like I got everything wrong and I still feel that way. I did the trick and got the pop up. I'm hoping it does work because I can not go through the stress of studying again and then take the test only to see nothing of what I spents days and hours going over. We shall see in a few days because even though I got the pop up I'm going to order the quick results. Congrats to everyone that passed I hope to soon join the ranks of nurses. Crystal

I just finished the LPN program at Atlanta Technical College and they have reopened the program haven't heard of a wait list. Have you tried them if you are in the Atlanta area? Even with all the last minute changes it is a good program and they accept financial aid so if you qualify for Hope and Pell the tuition and books are really reasonable. Sorry can't offer you anything positive about Brown Mackie only heard negative things. I wish you luck.
