I graduated from GPC in May of 06. We began in the fall of 04 with about 140 people I think and only 21 graduated with me in 06. And over half of those were repeating a semester. BUT I have heard that they have revamped the program and made it more doable because they had such a high failure rate and the BON launched an investigation. Many complaints were filed against the school.
Here's a link from the Georgia Board of Nursing for NCLEX past rates from 2004-2007 http://sos.georgia.gov/plb/rn/NCLEXRN20042007.pdf

I need to get a little understanding of the nclex pass rate for the Georgia schools. I am looking at schools and trying to see if they wash people out so the school will have a better nclex pass rate. I know Clayton did this back in 2001 and really want to avoid these schools.
I recently attended a seminar for GPC and was surprised to hear that they accept 160 people in the fall and about 60 in the spring. So a "possibility" of 220 people taking the nclex in 2011. I know that people drop out for different circumstances and some people might not be able the handle the stress but in 2006 only 43 people took the test. Has there been a drastic increase in seats from 3 years ago?
Im looking for recent grads that might know about how many people left the program before finishing, and for anyone that might know how many people are accepted in the schools surrounding Atlanta.
Thanks
