Georgia Highlands Fall '08

Published

Hey y'all! Is anyone applying to/accepted to/attending GA Highlands for Fall '08? I'm about to submit my app to the school and then as soon as my acceptance letter is in, send all my stuff to the nursing program for consideration. Fingers crossed! Also, is there anyone out there that is currently in the program? If so, how has your experience been and what kind of classes did you have completed and what GPA did you have that granted you admission to the program? Thanks so much!

bout to graduate from GHC. Good luck to you folks! Don't let the drama get you down... and trust me there will be drama, but it works itself out and I've had an overall wonderful nursing school experience.

I talked with one of the ladies in the nursing department yesterday and she said acceptance/rejection letters will be mailed out the end of this month. Good luck to everyone who's waiting!

Got my rejection letter this weekend...I'm not surprised (since I don't have all the pre-req type classes done) so I'm not really sad. I'll just keep trying and hopefully get into the January program or the one for Fall 09.

PreRnKatie are you currently attending GHC, if so which campus?

I'm not currently taking classes there. I may take Micro at the Rome/Floyd campus in the fall if any spots open up though. Are you enrolled there?

Yes. I'm taking Biology A&P I this summer. I'm going to take A&P II and Psyc in the Fall. Do you like the college you're attending now & will you apply for GHC nursing program?

I go to KSU right now and I love it. I got my first degree from there (criminal justice) and I'm applying there for the accelerated program. I'm also applying to GHC for Nursing as well as a bunch of other schools. I got rejected from GHC for Nursing for Fall 08 so I'm trying to get the rest of my prereqs done so I can get in in 09. What about you?

I am a transfer student from Georgia State. I have to take my Biology classes. I plan to apply April of '09. I am asking all these questions because I wanted to see what my other options were if I didn't get accepted. I also needed to find another school to transfer to so I can get my BSN.

Most schools that offer BSNs have an RN-to-BSN track for students that have their ASN/ADN already. I know GA State and KSU both have those type of programs. Good luck to you! Hopefully we'll both make it in at Highlands for Fall 09!

can you give me an idea of the schedule for 2204. I just finished up my first 2 semesters in the accelerated program and start 2204 in August.

Just wondering about how many days a week and clinicals

Thanks

Kat

Once you complete the ADN program at GHC they also offer a RN-BSN bridge that is through, (brain fart - can't remember the name) but anyway they come to the GHC and you can get your BSN that way.

I've decided to finish up some of my last prereqs at GHC. I start Micro (Biol 2161K) next Monday 8/18. I'm so nervous about going to a new school! Is parking a big pain in the butt there like it is at KSU? Does anyone have any words of wisdom for a new GHC student? Thanks!
