Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

Ok....this may not be good news, but at least it is SOMETHING!

I talked with Barb*ra C*zby this morning (nursing secretary), and she said that she had about 25 messages on her voice mail from students asking the same question. She says that the nursing department wasn't aware that Vista was going to be down until the first day of class. She was very honest with me and said that basically they didn't know what they were going to do yet. They are meeting about it. She said to check back at the end of the week.

I know that Dr. Br*ck said that our long days would probably start at 8:30 and short days at 9:00, but the nursing secretary seems to think that everybody should show up on Wednesday at 9:00. She said that they would do "orientation" with everybody together on Wednesday anyway. So, apparently they are planning on putting us in one big room at first and then sending us to separate rooms????

Hopefully, the nursing department will get with the IT department and let them know that they've created one big fat mess. Those forms that we are supposed to bring with us and have signed on the first day of class were supposed to be posted on Vista also.

I just got an email on my GA Highlands account from the VISTA IT department that said they were working to have it up and ready by Tuesday.

So, I guess we'll all be up until Midnight on Tuesday printing stuff out and signing forms! lol

She called me at 8:54 am to tell me that I have been chosen for the scholarhip on a preliminary basis. The background checks are not all back yet, so once that clears I am good to go! Then she asked me if I wanted the $500 Foundation Scholarship that I had already been awarded or the Scholar's Loan program (can't have both) and of course I chose the Scholar's program!!! That's all - no other details. She said that had only received a handful of background checks back so far.

Melissa- Thank you so much for all the information!!! That helps alot!!!I can't believe they didnt know about the Vista problem!!! I'm gonna call on Thurs, if we havent heard anything else!!

I've also emailed Dr. Br*ck this morning to ask if she suggests that we do something differently, since EVERYTHING we need is on Vista.

I will let ya'll know when she responds.
