Georgia Highlands College Waiting Game!

Hopefully, we are getting close to hearing something. I wanted to start a new thread and see if anyone wanted to play the waiting game for fall ADN Program. We've been waiting since April 1st and it's about time we heard something.:anbd:

I live off of windy hill...their is a starbucks right across the street from where we take classes. If not for studying, for caffeine refueling!

What are all you guys doing to prepare for wed? I read chapter 32 and made notecards but that is it as of right now.

well......I read chapter 32 as well. the mosby video skills (vital signs section in the first basic orange disk) that came with the fundamental book is something we are supposed to watch. It was a good review of the chapter too and there is a quiz you take at the end to see what you know. I love supplemental stuff like that! I have done that so far. right now I am reading chapter 33, which is long and incredibly loaded with stuff. I think im just trying to read it so when we have a lecture on it I may have a better understanding and will go back to it after. and the other chapters in the assessment book that were assigned....I will look over those too and they are not nearly as long as the chapters in the fundamentals book.

Ive spent all day reading the fundamentals book and highlighting the important stuff. I started making a self test...so much to do already...is it possible to be behind before the semester starts?

Melissa, I changed to Dr. B's section, so we are both long day Wednesday, right? I hope so. Anyway, I hope I get changed in the computer. The Secretary is out today ( 2 days before class starts??) and Dr. R told me to just show up Wednesday in Dr. B section.

Also, all of the assesment dvd's are available to watch in the lab. I wish I had known that before I spent $125 on the set b/c you can also use the $40 cd Rom set that is version 2.0. I thought they were different or the 2.0 was old, but they are both in the lab, ugh.

Also, I found out that on the e-mail we got detailing what to do the first 2 days, everything that says CL means that we have to learn that on our own. That is not covered in lecture and it is on our skills lab check off. I was a little confused b/c it's listed on our syllabus and it seems like it is being taught, but I talked to Mrs. Hender*on and she said learn it on our own before class. By the way, she was really nice, but didn't know anything about our syllabus that had been e-mailed.

I've been reading, highlighting and answering the objective questions, but other than that, I'm not sure what to do.

I'm about to head to the Bookstore to see if the assesment kits are in. If not, I"m going to be so mad!!

Thanks FGM. I haven't received an email from Marietta either. I also noticed the neighborhood is started until the 2nd friday on the syllabus, so hopefully it's not a big deal that I can't get it until the day before.
