Georgia Highlands College Fall 2011

Hello everyone. I just applied for admissions for the fall 2011 program a couple weeks ago.

Has anyone esle applied as well? If so what is your GPA and ACT score if you don't mind me asking.

My gpa is a 3.0, or higher because I have grades that have not posted, and I took the ACT over 13 years ago with a score of 18.

can I purchase health insurance from the school???

Yes, tigerRN. In fact, health insurance is automatically included in your tuition as a nursing student. If you have it already and don't want it through the school, you have to fill out a waiver and your insurance has to be approved to get those fees taken out of your tuition. All that info should be in your admission packet.

Thank LetsGoMets....I just went ahead and applied with cigna just in case....I dont know if i will be eligible for student health insurance since i already have a degree..

I checked mail and all i got was a piece of junk mail. I did change my address in their system a couple weeks ago. I guess I will give them a call. Or im sure it will be here tomorrow. RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

To the people who got accepted....does you letter say the campus you selected on your application? Mine says Rome but i selected Marietta on my application. I'm happy to be accepted and I will drive to Rome everyday if need but i'm just wondering if everyone got the campus that wanted?

@SweetNlow0204, my letter says the same thing and I also applied to Marietta only. I guess its because they want to get everyone's responses (that will or not attend) before assigning a certain number to students to each campus.

:D Glad I can help! I also got a question, for the workshop we gotta attend on July 20th, does it mean it will be from 8am to 11pm? or do we just need to make an appointment in between those times?

No not from 8:00am to 11:00pm:eek:......we all will attend the mandatory workshop form 8:00am -11:00am. I called today and asked the same question. From 11:00am -6:00pm is the time frame of which you schedule your appointment. This appointment should only take 10 minutes. This is what i was told today. During this appointment you will talk to a few instructors and they will register you for NURS 1101 if you have all your supporting documents.

The times list on the Important Information for Nursing 1101 Students Fall Semester sheet was a little confusing :uhoh3: to me. I had to read it several times to make sure i was not getting it mixed up. So i ended up just calling them. July 20 will be a long day for me because I'm taking clinical calculations and July 20 is also a day I have a test on campus. But hey i would not change anything:)
