Is anyone applying for Fall 2010 admission to this program?
I have Mosby's...(its not user friendly though). I have a really old saunders...One of the recent graduates of GA Highlands gave me a prentice Hall...and a NClex made incredibly easy book. The one I really like that is simplified is called practice questions for NCLEX-RN by donna F. Gauwitz.
I basically like to test myself to study for the tests.
You dont need this many..I just bought two and the others were just given to me. Old ones work just as well. Trust me ...money doesnt come easy that first semester. The books alone will kill you! Good luck!
just wondering how you all did on your first test? mine is this coming monday and I am a nervous wreck!! I have been studying but mine is 18 chapters as well and I am a little overwhelmed. I heard that its all situational. was yours that way? if you guys could give me any advice I would SOO appreciate it!! hope everyones doing well! TIA Natalie.
Our first test was supposed to be 18 chapters, I counted and it ended up being more like 23 (including med term). Definitely all situational. I don't know what your books are like there, but I would recommend using any review questions your books/CDs/websites provide - particularly the NCLEX-style ones.
Let us know how you do - good luck! =)
ps I can't believe you're just now having your first test - we've had 2 already!! And another one coming this Tuesday!
I would reccomend getting a NCLEX book you can study from! The way GA highlands test is NCLEX type questions! Which are hard if you arent used to them. You can even buy used or old editions..they work just as well. I did well on my first test....(in the 80's)..and thats good in nursing school! I also made a ton of note cards to study from. So just keep reading the power points presentations and try to get a NCLEX book. Good luck on the test.

Hi Sophia,
Thanks for the advice. Which NCLEX books do you have?
