Congratulations for being accepted to nursing school!! I have friends at GA Baptist and they love it! I am in my second semester of the first year at North Georgia, and I absolutely love it!! The teachers are great - my classmates are great and I have no complaints!! Last year, I got my acceptance letter from NGCSU at the beginning of April. Good luck with your decision and nursing school! :roll

I also just got accepted to GBC and gave my deposit however, I'm really worried about the $$$ so I check the mail everyday for my possible acceptance to North GA. I declined Brenau and Kennesaw because I didn't want to take a 2nd semester of Chemistry. I have gotten excellent feedback about GA Baptist, the most positive is that your chances of success appear to be better there. I've heard that the main stress of other schools is being tested on things that are never covered in class and this scares me. All the nurses I worked with went to Kennesaw and liked it but as always, all they say when I ask them about nursing school is, "it's hell, but you can't give up once you start." I heard north ga's windy hill campus is discontinued, is this true????
Yes, it's true that our class will be the last to graduate from the Windy Hill campus. I heard they are looking for a new location in that area, but I don't know when it will be available. I will tell you that I have NEVER seen a test question at NGCSU that the information was not made available to us in lecture or our reading assignments. As I said in an earlier post, you should receive your letter the first or second week of April. Good luck!
That is good to know about NGCSU, I'm new to this site and have been looking for feedback. I wonder what happens considering I applied to windy hill?? If accepted, do they automatically assign me to another campus or will I NOT be accepted due to the fact that the campus won't be there anymore. Hmmmmmmmm, I wonder :uhoh21: Thanx :)

Hi, there! Did I read that correctly -- is NGCSU closing the Windy Hill campus for the ASN program?! (Yikes!) I applied there for Fall, and am also ANXIOUSLY awaiting an acceptance letter in the mail in the next few days. Does anyone know what NGCSU is planning to do? I took the TEAS and got an 87.1% - which was supposedly in the 97% percentile rank for the group taking the test with me, and in the 98% percentile rank, nationwide. Does anyone have any idea if that is an acceptable score to be accepted? (I also have another bachelor's degree in business, and have completed most of the BSN pre-req's, except Micro -- I also applied to KSU's accelerated program, as well...). Anyone else out there that is "on pins and needles?" I think my postman is beginning to think that I am a crazy woman for running out to my mailbox, each day. :-) Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Yes, I go to the mail as soon as I see the mailman also. We should know the first few weeks of April. And yes, another member confirmed that Windy Hill is no longer going to be there this fall. I don't know how that affects our acceptance however. Where will you be commuting from? Let me know how it works out :)
Hi, Sheri! Thanks for the quick reply...
I will be commuting from Acworth. I am really curious, now, what North Georgia is going to do with all the applicants for Windy Hill! I don't think I can move to Dahlonega or Gainesville (Forsyth campus?). (Sorry -- not sure about the other satellite campus and where it is...).
As if I wasn't ALREADY stressed...ha, ha! :)
I'm at KSU, now -- but not overly thrilled with it. Parking is really a hassle, and it's a much different 'feel' than North Georgia seems to have. Like I said, I applied for the Accelerated BSN at KSU, but I don't think my grades in the top seven pre-req's are good enough to be accepted...I have 5 A's, 1 B, and 1 C. I've heard that's just not good enough, but I applied anyway. I guess worst case scenerio, I won't get into either one (KSU or NGCSU), and just re-apply in Spring for KSU's traditional program.
Good luck, and let me know if you hear anything! :)
Well, the letter came today -- I didn't get into KSU's program, but was put on a Standby List. Anyone know what my chances might be of still getting in? The letter was somewhat frustrating, because it said to continue planning and taking classes, as if you already were accepted -- just in case. That doesn't help me much, because I had decided not to try to take Micro in the Summer unless I was officially accepted. (That's my last remaining pre-req.) Now what?! I've heard that Biology classes in Summer are a nightmare -- too much info compressed into 8 weeks. Ugh.
Any advice?
(Still waiting on North Georgia.)

I can't even fathom that 5 As, a couple Bs and 1 C is not good enough! Personally, just the word "accelerated" frightens me so maybe it's for the best. All the nurses I've met say they don't know how the accelerated students do it. It's basically all the stress of the regular program + additional classes to get it done quicker. I wouldn't recommend micro in the summer either but everybody is different. I would also be really confused if they told me in a letter to keep taking classes as though you were accepted?? They must be referring to pre-reqs and they are assuming your not finished with them so they tell you to keep taking them. Chin up

Hi - sorry for jumping right in - but just wanted to say that I got the same letter you did from KSU, "Waiting List". It is so frustrating. Out of my seven classes used I had 6 A's and 1 B. I did get accepted to Brenau and am still waiting on NGCSU. I'm leaving on a cruise in the morning, so hopefully when I get home I'll have a letter from NGCSU. If it is bad news, I'll see if I can make Brenau work out for me. Good luck to you.

Well, I got accepted to NGCSU -- but for their "Alpharetta/Cumming location." Does anyone know specifically where this might be in Alpharetta or Cumming?
Thanks for your input.
