Georgia Baptist College of Nursing/ Mercer University Fall 2019

I wanted to start a thread for those applying to Mercer's nursing program starting fall 2019. As of now, I know that the application has not been opened but they did say is should open sometime this month. I am on my last semester of prerequisites, which consists of microbiology and the lab and philosophy. I had my transcript evaluated last semester and was told my transfer GPA is a 3.349 and my science GPA is a 3.000. I highly recommend you guys get your transcript evaluated, especially those transferring! I have 2 years experience as a CNA in home care and 1 in the hospital setting along with some hospital volunteer hours. Share your stats, advice and questions. Good luck to everyone!

CONGRATS!! What a huge achievement! I too will be at Mercer this fall. As for scholarships, I’d just wait to hear back from Mercer’s financial aid office to see what they’ll offer. I’m praying they’ll help! I sent in my FAFSA a few days ago so I should know in a month or two I hope.

How is everyone affording this price tag ? I have a college student that’s OOS so can’t afford this ! Also does everyone live near Atlanta ? I’m two hours away so I can’t do that commute everyday ! Thanks

Can someone please enlighten me? So, I received an email from Mercer stating I need to verify my fasfa. However, when I clicked the link it asks for user name for mercer and password. When I entered my username and password for the student portal (where you check the status of your application ) it said that username and password was incorrect. Does this mean I have been accepted and have yet to receive my credentials or I simply just need to verify my fasfa and call Mercer to ask them how to login to verify my fasfa lol. Has anyone had this happen to them?

So I got an interview letter today but it doesn’t have a specific date on it and it says to brush up on Anatomy and Physiology. Any advise on what to study etc? I’m so nervous ? any advice appreciated.

I looked up nursing interviews on YouTube and it helped me a lot. They will not allow anyone to discuss the interview.

I cannot believe I’m even typing this right now but I got in!!!!!! Today makes exactly 2 weeks and I got my decision this afternoon. I’m so excited!

Still in awe!! I just recently received my acceptance letter. I never thought Mercer would accept little ol me!! I say this to say, don’t ever give up on your dreams! Take shots in the dark because at the end there is light. It’s crazy that I was denied at Georgia Perimeter Nursing program. I was so depressed. I feel that denial was just an opening for bigger and better; Mercer University!!! I’m so excited and nervous!! I trust God and I know that he didn’t bring me this far to leave me!!

Hey guys!!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted so far!! I got accepted last Monday after completing my interview two weeks prior. I just got an email saying that they received my enrollment form/reservation fee and that I would get more info in the coming up months. I feel like I should already have information abut orientation, requirements, etc??? Has anyone else gotten any other information, or have y'all just gotten the email saying we'll get more info soon?
