Hey Guys! I wanted to start at threat for those who have applied or been accepted to Georgia Baptist College of Nursing for 2015. I applied in October and was accepted last week. The reason I heard back so soon is because I have completed all of my prerequisite classes. Has anyone else applied or heard a response yet? If you all don't mind we could share our stats as well (Teas and GPA) that would be helpful to others viewing the thread. I applied with a 3.6 and a C on my teas. I was afraid that I was going to be denied but I think my essay helped out a ton. I was going to retake a class or my teas but they accepted me before I had to go through all of that. I hope to hear back from you all as we begin this process together. Thank you all so much and good luck to everyone.

Do you think your summer grades will bring you up to a 3.0? I think they do require that as a minimum, but you could email admissions and ask. If you have extenuating circumstances and your prerequisite grades are good, they may be willing to make an exception.

Well my GPA might drop to like a 3.1 after the summer semester but I got a C in anatomy I, I'm taking Micro right now and I am taking anatomy 2 in the fall so hopefully I get a's and b's in both of those. What are your stats.

A&P I: First attempt C, Second Attempt A, B in lab

A&P II: A in lecture, B in lab

Micro: A in Lecture&Lab

Therefore, my science gpa is 3.58.

Two years ago, my overall gpa was 1.54, and I raised my gpa to 2.81.

I hope the admissions office will give me an opportunity :)

Not yet. A lady in the admissions office said the application for fall 16 will be released in August.

Hi all,

I am currently applying to a few nursing programs in Atlanta for Fall 2016. I am writing my essay for GBCON now, and I wanted to know if anyone has any helpful advice? I know it says to include why I want to be a nurse and why I am interested in their program, but how personal should it be?

Any advice is appreciated!
