Georgia Baptist College of Nursing Fall 2014

Published

Hey Evreyone! I just wanted to get a thread started for those who applies for GBCON's incoming class for fall 2014! I applied just last week and I'm excited to hear back from them! Has anyone else applied or heard back? If you don't mind sharing your stats as well (Teas, GPA) that'd be great too! I applied with a 3.35 and an 81.3 on my TEAS but I think I wrote a really good essay so hopefully that helps some too! I'm also thinking about retaking my TEAS.... I'd love to hear back from you all as we start this process! Thanks and good luck to you all!

Yes, you will get an email with a ton of info, including your MUID shortly after.

Thanks meeep! Do you know how long the housing wait list is by any chance?

I don't! I was told they do expect availability for the Fall though. I also spoke to someone at the school who said they haven't heard of anyone on the list not getting housing, but I don't know how accurate that is.

Question - when you send in your $200 deposit do they send you a packet of more information? Such as things like your MyMercer ID? I want to request student housing but I don't know my MyMercer account info ):

Once you pay your deposit, they will send you additional infer regarding your immunizations and the next steps for the enrollment process.

I'm so glad everyone is coming together and finding this page so useful! :) I'm glad I got it started! What orientation day are you guys planning on attending?? I believe there are two but can't remember the dates

I believe that is correct! Thanks for all the info meep!!

Do we only have to attend one? For some reason, I thought we had to go to both. Do we have to have all the titers etc done before May to attend the May orientation?

What day is the May orientation?!

Yes. Immunizations have to be completed before orientation and registration. You will get an email from Deb Bailey once you are immunization compliant. The orientation day in May will be on the 29th. I will attending that one.

We only have to attend one. They are having two dates because the later date is for those who get accepted after May. That way they get an opportunity to attend an orientation. White Coat Ceremony is on August 14

Oh ok, I haven't started the hep b series or titers, so I doubt I will be attending the May orientation.

You can get them done right up at the school. It's not expensive at all. I had mine done. The Hep B titer was $50 plus a $10 draw fee. & Ms. Yvonne up in the student health just faxes it right over. No waiting or anything.
