Georgia Baptist College of Nursing Fall 2009

Published

Hello Everyone,

I am gearing up to apply for Fall 2009 at Georgia Baptist. I wanted to know if anyone else is applying there for Fall 2009 as well, or if there is anyone who has already been accepted and wouldn't mind sharing their credentials (i.e. overall gpa, nursing gpa, science gpa, if all prerequisities were completed, net score etc.) I am just trying to get a feel for the type of applicant they are looking for. Thanks so muc!

I'm In !!!:yeah: I got my letter on Friday... Has anyone ordered their uniforms yet if so can you tell me how much you paid in total for them.

CONGRATS! yea let me know 2....has anyone done the oshaa thing yet?

Specializes in Adult Gerontology Primary Care, Palliative.

I remember my adviser (Ms. Taylor) saying that the school won't let us do the HIPAA and OSHA thing until July for some reason.. because I was trying to sign in to complete them and it wouldn't let me sign in..

@ the question about uniforms. I'm not sure about the cost, but the director of admissions told me that we can wait until orientation to order, so that we have a chance to see them first to get an idea of which ones we prefer.

Thanks Kels83,

I guess Iwill wait because I cannot attend orientation until August because of Summer School!:wink2:

what are the dates for orientation?

Specializes in Cardiac Step-down Unit.

Congrats everyone!!

I would wait till orientation because you can also try on the clothes. Let me know where you guys are getting your shoes. The orientation dates are July 21st, and August 18th.

Did you guys sign up for the CPR class? I found the class cheaper at my local health department, but make sure it is the BLS American Heart Assoc.

See you guys soon!!

Hey everyone...Got my financial aid info in the mail yesterday. Anyone looking for additional aid besides me? Any ideas on where to find any more $$? I've been searching websites here and there, but haven't found much...

did they not offer u enough? how much r u lacking? if u dont mind me asking

They offered me enough for tuition, but I'm trying to find some extra $$ for room/board (dorms)...

yea i would be in the same situation. I live at home so that saves me a little. but i dont have any extra to pay for books.

wow...I haven't gotten my fin aid award yet, but I'm nervous! I need enough to cover living expenses and I am afraid of getting a private loan. I wonder if the program is flexible enough to allow PT employment.
