Hey anyone applying to Georgetown CNL program for Fall 2019? Just submitted my application yesterday! How was the interview video for you guys?

No email...I just logged onto the application website and it said an decision was made

This was unexpected! I just got a few rejections...so I thought Georgetown was out of my league! Do you know when we will find out financial Aid information?

Anyone else deciding between Georgetown and Hopkins? If so, do you mind sharing important considerations you have found for each program?

Hi Kmag96:

I too was accepted to both. To me, Hopkins potentially more resources (90% of students placed within Hopkins system)... Georgetown would give a CNL. Upon speaking to a CNL nurse who's very active in her CNL role, I learned that one doesn't fully "get" the CNL role until having some experience in their belt.

My final decision argument was: 1) I want to become an NP eventually. If I absolutely wanted to mostly focus in the CNL role, then Georgetown would be ideal. Don't think it would be bad to have CNL + NP, at the end, by any means. I think reputation & tradition stood out to me more, since I am looking to go NP route...

@letsbringhealth Thanks so much for your feedback! I am actually looking to become a NP too so that was super helpful. I have been leaning more towards hopkins for similar reasons but always great to hear other opinions ? Thanks again!
