Hi everyone! I would like to know of people planning to apply to GMU's absn program or those go have completed the program already. What were your gpas and what is a good score on the Hess entrance exam, especially the A&P section.

Go to the Virginia forum and you can find threads from previous cohorts. I don’t think there is one from last year but there was on for my cohort two years ago and others for previous years. I can’t remember my stats off hand but the admissions committee does look at the student as a whole not just grades. Good luck.

I am applying to GMU's program as well. I haven't taken the HESI exam yet- I am planning to take it within the next month! My undergrad GPA was a 3.8 and A, A- and B+ in science prereqs (A&P + Microbio) and A/B's in the other prereqs. I'm excited for the application to open and start working on my video and essay.

I’ve took the HESI A-2 recently and let me just tell you for some unknown reason I did HORRIBLE in the A&P section. However, the grades for my pre-reqs for Anatomy 1 and 2 and for Microbio are A’s and my experience is actually really really good (I work at a hospital and I have child care experience)

I know Mason doesn’t have a “passing score” but to be completely honest i’m extremely nervous I won’t get accepted but i’m praying and looking and applying to other university’s!

I submitted my application already. My stats are 3.78 GPA with A's in all my prerequisite expect statistics which I got B-. My HESI was terrible and I am extremely nervous about that. I am also a foreign medical graduate but I hope this goes well.

how did you do on the hesi? My gpa wasn’t really great. It’s 3.1 with all my pre reqs at least a B. I did 88 on the hesi, with A&P section my strongest with 92. I’m so worried But it’s my top school.

your gpa is really good! Mine wasn’t 3.1. And 88 on the hesi. What was your score on the hesi?

I got 88 on the hesi, with A&ap section my strongest with 92. I’m so worried cuz my gpa is 3.1.

my hesi score was 78 which is why i am so anixous

you should still have hope, your other stats are really good! my gpa was horrible I even doubt if it was worth applying. I pray I get waitlisted at least.
