George Brown or Centennial - RPN to BSCN Bridge for Sept 2021

World Canada CA Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

Anyone else applied the Bridge 2021 at George Brown or Centennial?

want to wait for offers with me?

I am wondering if I can hear from past students at either of these two school about their experiences?

When did offers come out? hard to get into? They are both listed as noncompetitive?

Did you like the program? I heard these schools are not really self-directed like McMaster programs, care to share your thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, I've been lurking on this forum for a while. I was wondering if anybody heard from George Brown yet? ? My application has been "Academic Review Underway" for more than a week.

Hi,

I applied Jan15 and got an offer March11. I did my Casper test on February 11th. My application said Academic Review Underway for about a week too if I remember and then one day I saw “Offer”.

hey @MOMTORN have you applied for the temp license yet? Whats the process? and do you know if we have to complete our final exams first before applying or you can apply once done with your pregrad hours..

The temp license is a way for you to work as a nurse prior to writing the CPNRE, you apply to the CNO once your school confirms you are finished your program and pregrad hours, complete all the tasks there except the CPNRE exam and then apply for a temp license. In order to get one you have to have a confirmed job offer in hand and the new employer will have to complete a form for the CNO confirming the job offer. This license is then good for 6 months or until you write the CPNRE which ever comes first.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations!!  how exciting!  I am hoping to get one too as GBC is my first choice.... Was this your first time applying to the bridge? Where did you do your RPN if you don't mind my asking?

Thank you! And yes this is my first time applying to the bridge and I'm currently in my last semester of my RPN at GBC. Good luck to you, I hope you get in!

yes definitely, it does help... thanks for the detailed information.

Hey everyone! Has anybody got any news from George Brown? My application has been under review since march and I am wondering what is going on :(

Hello. I got an offer on March 11th. Hope you hear back soon!

Hi everyone,

I'm in the final semester of my PN program and have received an offer for the GBC bridging program for Sept. I am torn between accepting my offer at GBC or risk waiting to hear back from the Centennial flex program for Jan 2022. Can anyone provide me with some insight on which programs you chose and why?

I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

BTW, my GBC offer expires in 1 week.

Centennial flex program is 3 semesters which may be more expensive as compared to gbc which is 2 semesters...so depends on which you prefer

I don't think that is accurate information..

Tuition for the flex all three terms is $5,456.65

Tuition for 2 terms at GB is $6,661.00  for 2 terms..

I think you have to decided if you want to work while in school or not. GB is geared to a full course load so working is hard to do and keep up with your studies,, the flex is over 3 terms as most students are working while in school so this makes it possible.

Cost wise Centennial is the cheaper, but the program is longer so people can work and go to school.,
