Just had to share...I feel like I'm going to pop!

I had lost my full scholarship because I used hours up 10 years ago for another degree I didn't finish so I was no longer eligible. :crying2: I found that out 2 weeks ago and moved my butt through the financial aid process as quickly as humanly possible.

Last week I was told that because my divorce happened this calandar year and my ex made so much money, I may not qualify for aid. If I didn't, I would have had to drop out of school for a year...any other older students know what that can lead into. To top it off, if my award letter didn't come in soon, I would lose my spot in the nursing program and have to drop fall semester's classes.:chair:

On a whim, I went to my school's financial aid page today to look up my award letter. Expecting nothing to be there, imagine my shock when I found that they had given me TWICE THE AMOUNT OF TUITION in GRANT money!!!

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I'm so freakin' happy right now I could explode!

Let this be a message to all that what is meant to be will be!

Thanks for listening!

i just found this out about 2 weeks ago - but if you are awarded grant money, and you have money left over after tuition, my school gives me a check for that difference to use toward books!! Call your school and ask them about that...Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!
