.. just wondering why I'm waiting until the last minute to BUY shoes.. Anyone else like this?, just that thrill of rushing out to get that last item, like Christmas time..lol

Maybe because they are the first pair of nursing shoes so they are special, I don't know, anyone go thru this their first time or am I too picky and procrastinating.

oh yes, debszoo, i have those shoes that just happen to appear suddenly..lol.. but they've been in the closet for maybe a "week"..lol.

:chuckle

Ok, I have the neatest shoes, they are closed heel clogs, if that makes sense. I've been wearing them around the house to get used to the feel. My 13 yr. old son said they were "cool" so we'll see how the feet feel after a long day !

I hope I made the right choice as I don't want to buy another pair any time soon.

I guess I am too old to change...LOL, went to Reebok and paid $26.99 first pair, half price 2nd pair for the Princess style aerobic shoes. I know my size, I have worn them and they are comfortable, and if it works don't fix it!

One pair for clinicals ONLY (they don't come in the house after that either) and the other pair for me!

We are required to have tie up oxfords (YUK) which are very uncomfortable at best. Of course our uniforms make me feel like I stepped into a time zone back to the '70's! Already been there, done that....what's up with some of these schools and the uniforms they pick?????????

Here is another tip I forgot to tell ya all...

If you can get away with it (and the school in AZ and the one here in CA we could) do NOT sew any patches onto your uniform. You will want to wash it in hot water with bleach after it is soiled, and the patch can either bleed onto the white, or crunch the fabric up if there is shrinkage.

Instead, buy some of that iron on velcro and attach the patch that way. It is removable for washing then. Or just do what I do... pin it on.

Essarge, I know what you mean, our uniforms are really plain, stiff, blah..lol.. And the sizes run so BIG, I had to exchange for xtra small. We don't have a school patch, just a name tag. You'd think with the "cost" of tuition they could throw in a patch..lol.. oh well, enough complaining for me tonight.
