Hi there! I just purchased two books, "Pre-Nursing Reiviews in Arithmatic-Mary E Stehman", and "Barron's How to prepare for nursing school entrance exams", so far they have both helped me.
Another program that helped me is "The Princeton's Review ACT/SAT cd-rom. Also Excel @ Mathematics cd,rom helps advanced math skills. It covers AlG I & II, Geometry, Trig, Pre-Calculus & calculus.
I ought to be ready, when i take my exam!
Good luck to you, i hope you raise your score
Thank you Tanzanite for the information! good luck on your
journey though school. I hope to be in by next August!!

If you can afford to - take a remedial math course. Most universites and CC offer them. (My nursing school actually has them for the students who keep having trouble with math even after they are in - well then it is a lecture that only they have to go to)
Some schools also offer quickie refresher courses - you could check into that.
There are also Math websites. Some of these are kinda childish in how theya re set up (They are for elementry students) However, it is the kind of math you need to review for the NET.

The good thing about the online questions is that it tells you if you are right or not! Good luck on the NET! I hope these help!

This may be a bad thing to say but getting in is easy. GETTING OUT OF THE NURSING PROGRAM IS THE PROBLEM!

You may want to buy the NET study guide. It's written by the same ppl who write the NET exam and published by Educational Resources, Inc. If you can get a good score on the practice tests, you'll do fine on the real thing.
Thank you Melanie for your advice. I do have the net study guide. I have took the test two different times, but my score has been to low to get accepted. I have lots of trouble in math. im trying to conquer that! I want to be very prepared the next time i take it. Thank you for your info.

Make sure you get an early appointment with the nursing school advisor-she /he can give you VERY precise instructions on how to get into school-when you should be able to start, what classes you still need, what your gpa really is, etc. I stay in contact with my nursing school office and that really helps me know whats going on. I ask a lot of questions.
Amy
Hi! Amy, thanks for the advice. I have talked to the advisor many times and they are precise. The school i have been trying to get in wants a NET score of around 70 and gpa of 3.5 or higher. Mind it a 3.0. I have did all my prereqs except Microbiology. They say you can get in with a 2.5 and 40 NET score on their symbullas , but that is a bunch of bull! If you dont have the high scores you dont get in!! They only exept 20 students at a time. Im going to start applying to other schools though. i hope it gives me a better chance! thanks for your advice!
