OK --some of you started classes this week...how was it?
For those that have not started, what are you doing to get ready?
I am cleaning closets and trying to get the house in order, making room on my bookshelves for those 45 pounds of books (they bend the higher shelves, I had to put them on the bottom), I cut 400 index cards in half for flash cards...(I like small flash cards), saying goodbye to friends and family for the next two years (just kidding)...what about you?
I feel like I have gone back to being 15, not 45! :roll
originally posted by lisa2902well, i'm pretty much doing the same things you all are doing. cleaning house, trying to get organized and things like that. i've purchased my books, uniforms, shoes, stockings and all the other misc. school supplies ... paper, index cards, folders, highlighters, pens, pencils, etc., etc. when i look at my books i feel a little overwhelmed ... thinking like "what did i get myself into?". but overall i'm feeling very confident and proud of myself for coming this far and for striving not only to better myself but to fulfill my dream of becoming an rn.

lisa, your supply list looks a lot like mine.. i also carry a little stapler and paper clips..lol.. good luck, have fun, enjoy the journey !
Me too, Lisa, me too. When I was taking my prereqs at the cc here, I met all kinds of pre-nursing students...and they are all going to a different school from me. I envied how a lot of them got to hook up and get to know one another ahead of time. I'm going into my nursing program COLD. Makes me nervous! As if starting nursing school wasn't nerve-wracking enough as it is. I feel like everyone is going to know each other already, and surely that cannot be so, but how the mind turns and turns...
