RedS,
First, WELCOME to the board!!
Just be yourself. When I interviewed I was asked many questions but the one that I think is the big one is, Why do I want to be a nurse?
Keep it short, to the point and totally honest. Thats my best advice. They will see the real you shining through.
Good Luck!

Well, this is not related to academic interviews, but might give you some ideas, or a laugh or two...

Help!
I think this board is one of the best resources for a pre-nursing student. So I thought I'd throw out a humble request.
I've been invited to interview at my first choice of schools for an accelerated entry-into-nursing masters program that would provide me with CNS training. I am extremely excited at the opportunity and want to make sure that I do everything possible to ensure I have the best shot at getting accepted into their competitive program (since they only accept 50 applicants per year).
Has anyone been through one of these academic interviews? I'll be nervous enough with the process so I'd like to prepare as much as possible. I'd like to get some idea of what kinds of questions I should be ready to answer. So much is riding on it, and I hope they can get a sense of how dedicated and serious I am about pursuing this as a second career and that as an "older" student
my lifetime experiences will be an asset.
If you have any suggestions or tips I would really appreciate it.
Thanks and Happy New Year to all!
