..you know, the ones that are supposed to be so great for your feet? They kinda look like clogs, but they have a back? Back when I was waiting tables some of the servers wore them, said nurses wear them a lot, but at the time I didn't want to shell out the $$ to buy shoes for a job that I didn't intend to continue with.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Well Mel.. I do use Birkenstocks.. they work well for my low arch.. and they do make some models with backs... try:

Birkenstocks.com for pics etc.. You may be talking about antoher brand though.. I hope you find what you are looking for...

Well, no, I'm not thinking of Birks. They're more like clogs. Hard to exlain. But thanks anyway!

Oh man, I thought you meant my stylish Kmarts sneaks :roll

The ones you're describing sound nice, surely someone will know!

Dansko clogs! They run about $104 and come with or without backs. I have 2 pairs for work and 1 pair for casual wear, they are awesome! I work 12 hour shifts in the ER and my feet rarely hurt. http://www.dansko.com

Dansko!! Those are the ones. I love them, even not for work. Thanks so much!!!

:D

Ooh, I love these! It doesn't look like they come in white. Anyone know if they do and it's just not showing on the website?

Use the above link to the section that has the white ones! Took me a little bit to find them, but I did.....

Found em! Thanks so much, I am really thankful you posted this tonight. I have to buy shoes before Nov 21 and these are just what I had in mind. Gotta do what I can to keep the vericose veins away, lol! :)

I love your avatar....

I also liked this link. They don't have the professional style in white, but they have the other two.

That is a LOT of money for shoes!! I bought my Reebok's at the factory outlet and they are fine for now, but it is nice to have this info for when I am out of school.

RNwannabeJEN - glad you found them! Good luck in school!

Val - I got the Talia style (in professional section) in white. They're kind of a Mary Jane type. Funky and comfy!
