NLN on sat. Wish me luck....I need it

Well after 2 torturous months of waiting to take the NLN PAX-RN exam, its here. This Saturday 2/3 I'll be sitting at my hopefully future nursing school taking this confounded test. The worst is the anticipation of taking the test and not knowing what you will get.

Surprisingly enough I am not freaking out, I'm not nervous, I'm not anything, more resigned to the notion that I have this test on Saturday and if I don't pass it with an exceptional grade I'm not getting into my program. Plain and simple.

Wish me luck!

Hi!

I am taking the test on Saturday too! Where are you taking it? I am taking it at Beth Israel School of Nursing.

I am freaking out a little about the math (not my best subject).

Good luck

Me too I'm taking it at Beth Isreal as well. Good luck to you, you'll do fine!

thanks!

Specializes in ICU.

good luck to both of you:cheers:

Ok - I took the test. Verbal was fine and math was not as bad as I thought. The science was the worst. About 75% was from chemistry and physics and I haven't taken Chem in about 18 years and I have never taken physics.

The school looks really nice - I hope that I get in!

Vocab and Math were what I expected it to be, I feel pretty good about it (which makes me nervous that i feel good about it, cause now i'm paranoid that i'll get my score back and it'll be a disaster) science, was tough though i didn't really put a lot of time into it, i took chem 2 or 3 yrs ago (which i hated and nothing stuck!) and never took physics either, i did try to read up on some stuff though. Oh well,we just have to wait and see. I went to the first open house back in October and totally fell in love with the school, its the only one I applied too, so fingers, toes and eyes are crossed that I get in too.

I hope to see you both at PBI next year.

I am sure you both did fine!

I am so happy for you that it is over!! It must be such a relief. I bet you did great. Seems most do better than they think. I take mine 2/24 so keep your fingers crossed for me. Cross your toes too because I need all the help I can get. lol

Do we need to memorize the Periodic Table?! I haven't as of yet. Thanks.

Definately a relief, but now waiting for the scores are sooo much worse. Im going to be a worrying mess until i get them.

hum i think you might have to know isotope stuff if i remember correctly, know ohms and Neutons law. I can't remember much of the science stuff to be honest.

Make sure to keep time, take a watch, keep your eyes on the time. If you hit something you don't know move on, don't dwell on it, do everything you know first, especially with the math.
