I had to take one for consideration for the RN program at my college. The minimum requirement was 100 I made a 116. I am sort of wanting to compare my scores to everyone else to see if I did ok or not. I am still waiting to see if I am accepted. I should know the around the 15th of this month.

Hi, Susie!

If you needed 100 and you made a 116, then you should be in the running! :D

My first choice school requires a 50th %-ile or better on each subtest, rather than a particular composite score. I'm pretty good at taking tests, and I got 99th %-ile in verbal (I'm an English teacher--already have a BA), 72nd %-ile in math (not my favorite subject), and 95th %-ile in Science. My composite score was a 146.

Yet, this really is just one element in what the admissions dept at my school looks at . . . there's still your transcripts to consider, references, and a personal interview. I felt my interview went lousy, and now I'm sweating over whether I'll be accepted or not. I should hear any day.

I wish you luck and hope you get an acceptance letter soon!

I took the NLN (many moons ago) and had to score above the 50th percentile. I got a form in the mail from them that said how I did and how I compared to those in other ADN and BSN programs. Didn't you get that?

susie, welcome to the board. i took the net. all the best to you.

At my college we have to score in the 50th percentile or better for on the NET. I take the NET on May 1st. I won't know if I'm accepted until around June 15th. They also recommend that we buy the study guide from the school bookstore. It costs $40....

I just got my results . my school doesnt use the composite score which was 129. They use the individual scores. I got a 87 in verbal, an 84 in math and a 74 in science. I have never had chemistry or physics so I am sure that is why the science was pretty low. Overall I think I did ok.....still nervous though. I should have my answer on my application within 4 weeks and it is driving me crazy!!! Best of luck to you!

Good luck salgal, I got in with my score of 116. I have not had a lot of my pre reqs and I still had enough points to get accepted. I hope you hear some good news soon.

I am taking the NLN this saturday. We don't have to acheive a minimum score, but the better you do the more points you earn. Then IF you are accepted into the program you take the NET, and if you don't do well enough on that you are dropped even before you start!! Also, we take the nursing procalc (drug dosage calculations) before entering the program, after acceptance (before 1st semester), and after each semester. The minimum acceptable score starts at 80% and increases to 100% by the third semester. Luckily we can take the procalc as many times as we need to. It costs $5 each time though.

Busybeaver,

Hi, I live in Florida, attend PBCC. I am taking the NLN next Saturday. I am more worried about the PROCALC!!! My weakness is math(unfortunately) anyways what is the NET? What school do you attend?

Thanks

I will be taking the Pre-entrance test after this semester, when I finish A&P I. Over the summer I checked out some basic math and biology books at the library, and I bought the study guide. I think the study guide is will be the most useful tool. It reviews everything and gives you practice tests. I haven't studied fractions in 20 years.:p

Hi, I am in Southern WV community college nursing program. It is a ADN program.

hi angelarn2b,

I also attend PBCC. The Net is a test that first semester students take after you are accepted into the program. I still haven't taken it yet, I need to take it within the next couple weeks.

What teachers do you have this semester?? So far all of the first semester teachers are great!

I also have to take the procalc in the next couple weeks. Math is my weakest subject, I know how you feel!!

Good Luck!!!
